The integration gives brokers access to Allianz referrals using customer information already captured during the lending process, removing the need to switch systems or enter the same details twice.
Australian Finance Group (AFG) said the partnership would give brokers further opportunities to support clients beyond their mortgage needs while diversifying their businesses.
AFG chief distribution and marketing officer Them Lam said insurance was often part of conversations brokers already had with clients.
“Brokers are already having conversations with their clients that extend well beyond the mortgage. Whether someone is buying a home or financing a new car, insurance is often part of that conversation,” Lam said.
“By bringing Allianz into Partner Connect, we’re giving brokers another way to support clients at key moments while creating value from the relationships they’ve already built.”
Partner Connect is AFG’s referral platform, designed to connect brokers’ clients with complementary products and services.
Through the BrokerEngine Plus integration, brokers can initiate Allianz referrals directly within the platform and track referral progress and commission status.
Lam said reducing the administration involved in referrals was key to helping brokers act on opportunities.
“One of the biggest barriers to referrals is the additional administration involved,” he said.
“When brokers have to switch systems, re-enter customer information or complete separate forms, it’s easy for an opportunity to fall by the wayside.”
The partnership will be supported by broker education, webinars, and in-platform communications to help brokers identify relevant insurance referral opportunities and use the integration.
