ORDE Financial appoints senior BDM in NSW

The non-bank lender has welcomed a new senior business development manager for NSW, as it strengthens its NSW team.

ORDE Financial has appointed Claire Byrne as senior business development manager for NSW, supporting brokers as lending needs become more complex in a growing market.

Byrne has more than 20 years’ experience in financial services, including over a decade in non-bank lending. She was most recently the senior relationship manager at Thinktank Commercial Property Finance, where she had worked for the past decade.

Prior to that, she worked at a range of financial services companies and lenders, including HSBC (where she was property officer for property risk) and accounts manager at asset finance group FlexiGroup.

Her expertise spans commercial lending, SMSF lending, and alt doc lending, which ORDE said positioned her to help brokers with a wide range of scenarios.

Speaking of the new appointment, Peter Burkhart, state sales manager – NSW/ACT, commented: “NSW and ACT are growing fast – businesses expanding, investors building portfolios and new pockets of residential development emerging.

“Brokers are juggling a wider mix of scenarios across a bigger patch, and they need support that feels practical, accessible and outcome-focused. ORDE makes that possible, and Claire’s experience and collaborative style are a perfect fit for our broker-first approach.”

The Sydney-based BDM stated: “Over the past few years, especially, the NSW lending market has grown and diversified, and brokers are seeing a broader mix of deals – from commercial to SMSF and Alt‑Doc.

“The best part of my role is making complex lending feel straightforward, staying close to brokers and helping their clients achieve their goals.

“I’m excited to join the team and the growing Sydney office.”
