Assetline Capital appoints national leadership team for private lending

Assetline Capital has appointed a new national leadership team to drive its focus on private lending, as the lender expands its broker footprint.

Laura Stanley and Steven Filler will jointly lead the private lending business, bringing experience across sales, credit, and broker engagement.

Stanley previously served as NSW state manager at Assetline, where she led the state’s sales team across the lender’s full product suite and expanded broker relationships across the region.

Filler transitions from Assetline’s credit team, where he held senior roles and developed expertise in underwriting and structuring complex transactions.

Support for brokers

The appointments follow growth in Assetline’s broker network, including the expansion of its Horizon Mortgages offering.

As broker engagement across its long-term lending solutions has increased, Assetline said the private lending team will focus on supporting complex or time-sensitive transactions.

Stanley said the revised leadership structure is intended to strengthen Assetline’s support for brokers seeking tailored funding solutions.

“Assetline is one of a small number of lenders with a decade-plus track record in private lending,” she said.

“We have the funding breadth and operational infrastructure to deliver bespoke solutions for brokers and their clients, particularly in complex or time-sensitive scenarios. I’m excited to co-lead this team and deepen our support for brokers nationally.”

Filler said his credit background would support the team’s approach to structuring transactions.

“Coming from a credit perspective, I understand what makes deals work, how to solve problems for brokers, and where our appetite sits,” he said.

“Brokers are looking for certainty and responsiveness. Working with Laura, we’re focused on delivering outcomes when traditional pathways may not be available.”

Royden D’Vaz, who leads Horizon Mortgages, said the company’s growth has expanded Assetline’s broker relationships nationwide.

“We’re working with a growing number of brokers who trust Assetline for their clients’ long-term lending needs, and as those relationships deepen, brokers increasingly look to us for solutions when a deal becomes more complex or falls outside traditional parameters. Strengthening our private lending capability ensures we can support brokers across the full spectrum of scenarios,” D’Vaz said.

Assetline’s private lending offering includes loan terms of up to 36 months and facilities of up to $40 million, targeting transactions that may require faster turnaround times, structural flexibility, or fall outside standard credit criteria.
