Solomons Capital added to new aggregator panel

Solomons Capital has joined the Compass Aggregation lender panel, giving brokers across the network access to short-term private credit and property-backed lending solutions.

The appointment comes as brokers increasingly work with small and medium-sized businesses facing complex funding requirements that may not be suited to traditional lending channels.

Solomons Capital specialises in private lending for complex and time-sensitive property-backed transactions, with a focus on flexible structures and direct access to credit decision makers.

Jonathan Lee, founding member of Solomons Group, and Steven Galdona, director of credit operations at Solomons Capital, said the partnership would provide Compass brokers with another option for clients requiring alternative funding.

“We’re pleased to join the Compass Aggregation panel. Compass has built a strong broker network with a clear focus on providing brokers with access to flexible and effective lending solutions,” they said.

“We see brokers turning to Solomons Capital for two key reasons; access to flexible short-term property finance for their clients and the ability to work with a knowledgeable and dependable lender that understands complex property-backed transactions.”

Danny Tuttlebee of Compass Finance Australia said the broking landscape was changing as SMEs increasingly relied on brokers to navigate more complex funding requirements.

“The broking landscape is changing, and SMEs are increasingly looking to brokers who have the depth of knowledge and capability to support their business needs. The growing pressures facing businesses are also presenting brokers with more complex challenges, which can be difficult to address without the right support, expertise and access to appropriate funding solutions.

“This makes it increasingly important for brokers to have access to experienced professionals who can provide both service and guidance within the alternative credit sector. A strong professional network, combined with a differentiated lending offering, is what sets Compass Finance Australia apart as an aggregation business.

“For brokers who are serious about growing their businesses and expanding the solutions they can provide to clients, relationships with lenders such as Solomons Capital provide an important additional capability.”

Solomons Group expands offering beyond lending

Solomons Capital is part of Solomons Group, which also provides legal and structuring, accounting and tax, and wealth management services.

The group has more than 100 financial advisers across its adviser and licence groups, representing approximately $5.5 billion in funds under advice.

Its funding sources include private investors, commercial warehouse facilities and family offices, which Solomons Capital said allow it to consider different sources of capital for individual transactions.

The appointment comes off the back of what has already been a busy year for Solomons Capital, with the private lender also joining the Money Quest lender panel back in August.

Lee said the partnership would extend the lender’s reach across the Compass network.

“Our goal has always been to provide brokers with a reliable lending partner, particularly when a transaction requires speed, flexibility and commercial thinking. Partnering with Compass Aggregation allows us to extend that support to a broader broker network,” he said.

Solomons Capital said it would work with Compass brokers on transactions requiring short-term property finance and alternative credit solutions.
