Called Polli, the tool is designed to help lender policy, product, and credit teams identify policy gaps, assess the impact of unclear criteria on deal volumes, and explore opportunities to improve their competitive position.
Available through Cynario Insights Pro, Polli combines an analytics dashboard with a live chat interface, allowing lenders to investigate policy performance and receive recommendations for potential improvements.
Cynario said lenders had previously lacked visibility into how their policies performed across the industry and how policy friction could translate into lost deal volume and market share.
How does it work?
Polli continually analyses a lender’s policy criteria against market sentiment, conditions, and trends across the mortgage landscape.
Lenders can use the platform to explore policy optimisation strategies, identify gaps worth investigating, assess the impact of ambiguous policy on deal volumes, and examine opportunities to improve their market visibility.
The platform is designed to address limitations in traditional policy guides, which Cynario said were largely built around manual PDF searches, email distribution, and web portals.
As artificial intelligence changes how policy information is found and interpreted, the company said these formats could affect how clearly and accurately a lender’s criteria are understood, both internally and through broker-led research.
Polli aims to help lenders identify where policy wording could be improved and how those changes might affect the volume of business they attract.
Improving policy performance
Cynario said the platform could help reduce rework for internal credit teams, improve policy clarity, and give lenders greater insight into opportunities to grow market share.
Cynario CEO and co-founder Michael Richardson said Polli represented a new application of agentic artificial intelligence focused on lender performance.
“Polli is the most powerful application of agentic AI we’ve engineered towards lender performance, and it points to where this industry is heading,” he said.
“Policy is the lifeblood of the lending ecosystem. Everything downstream depends on it: how confident brokers feel about a lender, the quality of the applications submitted, the rework burden on credit teams, SLA time frames and customer outcomes.
“Policy is a living, continuously improving asset and the smallest improvements in clarity can compound into significantly stronger policy performance, greater lender visibility and, ultimately, increased deal volume.
“We built Polli to help lenders move from reacting to the market to proactively leading it.”
Further developments
The announcement of Polli comes on the back of other announcements from Cynario.
In August, the platform launched an automated client review tool for brokers, while in June, it unveiled two new AI tools targeting lender policy research and marketing automation.
The fintech also announced a partnership with CRM developer Salestrekker to create an AI-powered tool designed to audit loan files in real time at the point of lodgement.
