ASX-listed banking group directors step down

MyState Limited has announced that two of their directors will be retiring from its board later this year.

In a trading update to the ASX yesterday, MyState Limited announced that Sarah Merridew and Brian Bissaker will be retiring from its board on 18 May 2017.

Ms Merridew was appointed to the board of Tasmanian Perpetual Trustees Limited in 2001, where she chaired the Audit Committee. She became a director of MyState Limited in 2009, during the merger with MyState Financial, and has chaired the Risk Committee for the last three years.

MyState chairman Miles Hampton commented, “Sarah has made an invaluable contribution to the business and her skill, knowledge and hard work over a long period of time have been greatly appreciated by the board.”

Mr Bissaker, who had joined the board in May last year, also intends to resign as a director following his appointment as chief executive officer of Sydney-based KinCare Group.

“We have been pleased to benefit from the considerable experience that Brian has brought to our discussions, particularly in respect of the wealth management industry,” Mr Hampton said.
