Shergold to retire from AMP board

AMP Limited chair Catherine Brenner has announced that Professor Peter Shergold AC will retire from the board at the conclusion of the 2017 annual general meeting on 11 May.
Professor Shergold joined AMP Limited in 2008 and during his tenure has held positions as non-executive director of AMP Limited and chairman of its risk committee, and as a non-executive director of the AMP Life and AMP Bank boards.
On behalf of the board, the chairman expressed her appreciation for Professor Shergold’s service: “Peter has made a significant contribution to AMP over the past decade across our boards, bringing considerable insight and acumen. We have benefited greatly from his expertise and wish him all the best for the future.”
