Training boosted for online mortgage tool

NextGen.Net has upgraded its training for brokers and lenders to maximise their awareness and use of its ApplyOnline processing system.

The technology company's training manager, Michael Tong, said some of ApplyOnline's key features were being under-utilised, and consequently their benefits were not being realised.

"Brokers are time poor. They want to get an application out the door and to the lender so they can start working on the next deal," he said.

"In addition, brokers are accustomed to doing things a certain way and may not be aware there is a better and faster way."

Mr Tong has introduced training sessions for brokers and lenders to demonstrate the features of ApplyOnline, which are designed to enhance the quality of applications and speed up turnaround times.

According to customer feedback received by NextGen.Net, brokers who use the 'Supporting Docs' feature experience much faster turnaround times.

"Within three hours of submitting an application, a broker working with one of the big four received unconditional approval pending receipt of the valuation," Mr Tong said.

"That's why I'm baffled when I learn that some brokers and lenders are not reaping the benefits of ApplyOnline purely because they're not using all of its features."
