DirectMoney makes new board appointment

ASX-listed lender DirectMoney has appointed a former banking executive as a new director of its board.

John Nantes will join DirectMoney’s board as a non-executive director, and has more than 20 years’ experience in the financial services industry.

Prior to his current role as chief portfolio manager for The Adcock Group, Mr Nantes was group head of financial services at Crowe Horwath, and has also held senior executive roles at St George Bank and Colonial State Bank.

Mr Nantes is currently also a director at financial services company Cashwerkz.

DirectMoney executive chairman Stephen Porges said Mr Nantes brings valuable experience and leadership specific to the Australian funds management sector.

“His guidance will greatly assist the company as we establish the DirectMoney Personal Loan Fund as the preferred investment for Australian retail and high net worth investors looking to gain exposure to the unsecured personal loan asset class,” he said.
