ANZ appoints regional executive

ANZ’s former chief of staff has been appointed as the new regional executive for the Pacific Islands.

Tessa Price will become the first woman to lead the major bank’s Pacific business and will report to ANZ New Zealand chief executive David Hisco.

Until the end of last year, Ms Price was ANZ Group chief executive Mike Smith’s chief of staff, and was also previously CEO of ANZ New Zealand’s subsidiary, UDC Finance.

On top of her banking experience, Ms Price held various senior marketing roles at CBA, Esanda, Saatchi & Saatchi and American Express.

Mr Hisco said simplification is a strong part of ANZ Pacific’s business strategy and Ms Price successfully drove a simplification agenda while working at UDC Finance.

“Her experiences will be useful as we look to remove duplication and streamline processes for our Pacific customers and customer-facing staff,” he said.
