Heritage Bank appoints interim chief

Non-major lender Heritage Bank has made an interim appointment to the newly created role of chief information officer.

Mr Wayne Marchant is set to join Heritage Bank as the interim chief information officer to assist with the implementation of an improved structure for the company’s IT department.

Mr Marchant has previously held senior IT roles at Billabong, Flight Centre and Woolworths and has also led a major overhaul of the Main Road IT department while in the position of consultant with the 451 Consulting group.

The bank’s CEO Mr Peter Lock commented that Mr Marchant brings to the role a wealth of experience in large IT change management programs across a range of companies and listed corporations.
