CoreLogic analyst Cameron Kusher has been appointed to the newly created role of executive director of economic research at REA Group.
Mr Kusher spent over 10 years at CoreLogic, and most recently served as head of research, Australia.
REA Group CEO Owen Wilson welcomed Mr Kusher’s appointment, stating that it would enable REA to further deliver on its commitment to better inform the market.
“Core to REA’s growth strategy is becoming Australia’s property data powerhouse. We want to provide Australians with the best research, data and insights to better inform their property decisions,” he said.
“We are delighted to have someone of Cameron’s calibre join our team to help supercharge this part of our strategy.
“Working alongside our well-established and influential chief economist Nerida Conisbee, Cameron will drive forward our program of economic research. With access to unparalleled demand data and Hometrack predictive modelling, together, Nerida and Cameron will play a fundamental role informing key audience groups with market-leading analysis and commentary.”
Reflecting on his appointment, Mr Kusher added: “I am grateful for the experience gained at CoreLogic, and now I’m extremely excited to be joining a global growth business and industry leader like REA Group.
“I am passionate about property, and I look forward to extending the strong foundations of economic research and reporting to a broad range of stakeholders.”
As a member of Rea’s Economist Team, Mr Kusher will report to chief marketing officer Melina Cruickshank.
Mr Kusher is set to assume his new role with REA in November.
