FBAA conference open to entire industry

The Finance Brokers Association of Australia (FBAA) says its upcoming conference is not restricted to members but open to all finance professionals.

The one-day conference with the theme ‘Transform your thinking’ will be held at Sea World Resort on Queensland’s Gold Coast on November 14.

FBAA chief executive officer Peter White said the event is set to challenge and encourage brokers to think in ways that will build their businesses and the industry.

“With the current interest rate movements and legislative tightening around the NCCP, now is a great time for brokers to learn how to maximise their revenue and service customers in new ways,” Mr White said.

“It is free for FBAA members but we’ve intentionally created a nominal fee for others so all finance professionals can attend,” he said.

The association has confirmed key industry speakers Martin Grunstein and Deena Janes as well as international guest speaker Dr Koichi Saito.

Comedian Vince Sorrenti will again be the MC.

While he wants to make sure delegates have a good time socially and have the chance to network, Mr White said it was important that the day of the conference be practical and highly beneficial.

“Our aim is to show finance professionals that there are more opportunities for their businesses than what they may be doing now,” he said.

“We’ll be encouraging them to ask ‘what if?’ and leave with the resolve that ‘I am going to do’ or ‘I can be’.”
