St George manager joins MyState

Tasmanian lender MyState has appointed Sandi Sims as head of broker services.

MyState Limited yesterday announced the appointment of Sandi Sims as head of broker services, responsible for leading the mortgage broker sales and service strategy of MyState Bank and The Rock Building Society.

“We are delighted Sandi has chosen to lead our growing broker team; her appointment continues our commitment to the mortgage broker channel,” MyState's general manager of sales and distribution, Huw Bough, said.

“Sandi brings substantial retail and intermediary experience which will help us to build on the significant momentum we are seeing in our business,” he said.

Ms Sims said the MyState group has a growing reputation among mortgage brokers and their customers.

“Having the opportunity to lead the continued efforts of MyState to provide a compelling product and service proposition to brokers and their customers is very exciting,” she said.

Ms Sims joins MyState from St George Bank, where she had been state manager, NSW and ACT mortgage broking, a position that has now been filled by former Citibank broker head Aaron Milburn.

Before joining St George Bank, Ms Sims worked with Westpac, mainly in mortgage distribution management roles, which included state manager of Queensland and NSW for Westpac’s home loan partnership business.
