Bendigo Bank throws support behind bushfire victims

Bendigo Bank has helped raise more than $262,000 in donations to support recovery efforts for bushfire victims across Australia.

The regional bank launched appeals in partnership with community organisations that include The Salvation Army and The Spirit Foundation to support recovery efforts in the south-west region of Western Australia; the bushfire affected areas of South Australia; Victoria’s Surf Coast; and the state’s rural communities of Scotsburn and Clarendon.

Initial donations included $60,000 from Bendigo Bank’s Community Bank branches, as well as $10,000 from property development group Lendlease.

Bendigo Bank executive Robert Musgrove said the bank wanted to do everything it could to support customers and their communities through this difficult time.
