YBR appoints new director

Yellow Brick Road (YBR) has announced the appointment of a former senior ASIC employee as a non-executive director of its board.

John George steps into the position with more than 20 years’ experience in senior management and consulting roles in Australia, New Zealand and the US.

Mr George is currently the director of corporate advisory firm SGD Partners and is also the founder of niche advisory practice Standard Edge. He has previously held executive and senior roles at ASIC and professional services giant KPMG.

Mr George has listed and non-listed public company board experience in non-executive director roles with Shine Lawyers, Gladstone Airport Corporation, EWM and McNab.

YBR executive chairman Mark Bouris said the group’s board is delighted to have recruited a director of Mr George’s calibre.

“John has a strong background in strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, financial integration and transformational projects,” Mr Bouris said.

“He is a respected authority on banking and financial markets in Australia, that together with his accomplished career in senior leadership roles, will make him a valuable addition to the board.”
