The lender was named Best Investment Management Company in Australia for the third consecutive year, with the award recognising asset managers which display the highest standards in innovation, performance and social responsibility.
La Trobe’s president and CEO, Greg O’Neill, said it was very pleasing for the company to be crowned Australia’s top investment manager.
“For over 60 years, we have made it our purpose to assist Australians achieve financial independence,” he said.
“In times of volatility, investors are looking for capital stable returns, and this is our core attribute.”
Chris Andrews, chief investment officer at La Trobe, said the award acknowledges the efforts of the group’s experienced team.
“We have evolved industrial strength processes to assess and manage our assets in a manner so as to provide a successful and repeatable return profile for investors,” he said.
This is not the first time this year that La Trobe has received an international award, having been crowned Best Specialist Lender Australia at the International Alternative Investment Review (IAIR) Awards in March.
