Nationwide broker survey on lender performance launches

A major survey of the lending space has launched, calling on brokers to assess the performance of Australia’s mortgage lenders in a bid to help them improve their service offering to the channel.

Momentum Intelligence’s Third-Party Lending Survey, an annual broker survey of home loan providers, has officially opened to the third-party channel today. The survey asks brokers nationwide to assess the performance of the lenders that they have worked with in the past year.

Each lender’s performance is evaluated across 17 attributes encompassing the lender’s entire offering to the third-party channel, including their products, technology and personnel.

“This is a great opportunity for brokers to have a positive impact in the industry by simply sharing their experiences with lenders from the last year, and we’ve made it easy for brokers to participate,” said Momentum Intelligence’s head of strategy, Michael Johnson.

The results of the survey will inform the Third-Party Lending Report 2020, a key diagnostic tool that helps lenders reflect, review and improve on their offerings and approach to the third-party channel.

In 2019, the report saw its greatest level of adoption among lenders.

“Many lenders rely on the distribution of their products via the third-party channel, and lenders view the results of this survey as a key indicator for the future success of their organisation,” Mr Johnson said.

“It’s absolutely critical that brokers voice their thoughts for these lenders to improve moving forward.”

The survey, which takes approximately seven minutes to complete, will run until 31 March 2019 and is open to mortgage brokers and finance brokers across Australia, with questions covering residential, commercial, business and personal loans.

The key findings of the Third-Party Lending Report will also be published in The Adviser magazine later this year.
