The board of the Bank of Queensland (BOQ) has announced the appointment of US-based Mickie Rosen as non-executive director, effective 4 March.
Ms Rosen has three decades of strategy, operating and advisory experience across media, technology and e-commerce, and is based in the west coast of the US.
She is currently a non-executive director of Nine Entertainment Co and board director of apparel company TechStyle Fashion Group, as well as Ascendant Digital Acquisition Corp.

She has also held roles at Disney, Fox, Yahoo, as well as “early stage” companies such as Hulu and Fandango, BOQ said.
Commenting on Ms Rosen’s board appointment, BOQ chairman Patrick Allaway said: “We are thrilled to welcome Mickie to the board, who brings with her diversity of thought, digital capability and strategic execution.
“Mickie’s appointment to the BOQ board is an exciting one for the group, particularly given her extensive global strategic and digital experience, which includes advising on digital transformations for both McKinsey and Company and the Boston Consulting Group.
“Mickie also brings strong consumer focus, marketing and product capability, governance, and is an exceptional fit with our purpose and values.”
Last year, BOQ announced the retirement of non-executive director Michelle Tredeninck, which was effective at the conclusion of the 2020 annual general meeting in December.
Ms Tredeninck joined BOQ in February 2011, assuming the role of chair of the information technology committee within her first year.
