The arrangement aims to introduce its product across OZEDI’s 50,000-plus customer base.

Cashflow funder Butn Limited (Butn) is on track to see its services potentially extend to over 50,000 new customers, following the confirmation the fintech has agreed to a deal with OZEDI, a business messaging provider that enables business and government bodies to securely send sensitive information.

Under the arrangement, OZEDI will integrate Butn across its customer base’s payments and invoicing system while also providing account management and support to its integration partners.

The deal is currently set to only cover Australia and New Zealand for the next two years – however Butn has stated there are currently options for the partnership to extend beyond this period.

The first joint integrations are currently expected to occur during the first half of 2022, with plans to then onboard both current and new clients on an ongoing basis.

Butn co-founder and co-chief executive Rael Ross said of the partnership that it’s a great example of the fintech’s “ability to fully integrate into partner platforms” – an asset that therefore provides a “seamless experience for users”.

“It allows Butn to leverage the high levels of integrity, security and reliability that OZEDI has established with its customers in order to deliver a powerful cash flow solution technology to OZEDI’s clients,” Mr Ross said.

“By integrating the Butn solution within their payments and invoicing systems, their end users will have quick access to cash flow, which is critical at this time of increased growth off the back of COVID-19.”

OZEDI CEO Christian Walkerden added that, with the COVID-19 pandemic elevating the critical nature of cash flow issues, coupled with the need to find “elegant digital solutions”, it’s now a time for “cash flow solutions and services to be made available to businesses directly from within their native software”.

“After making the strategic judgement that this service was increasingly essential, OZEDI spent more than 12 months of due diligence and careful assessment to confirm that Butn represents the cutting edge and are the clear market leader for this technology,” he said.
