Assetline Capital has welcomed state managers for Victoria and NSW.

Non-bank lender Assetline Capital has announced that Arthur Karvelas has joined the Victorian sales team as its new state manager, along with the promotion of Sydney-based business development manager (BDM) Laura Stanley as the lender’s NSW state manager.

Karvelas joins the Victorian team carrying over 20 years of experience in the industry that included previous roles at Yellow Brick Road, Bluestone, Pepper Money, and Heritage Bank.

In leading the sales team, Karvelas will work with brokers and borrowers with face-to-face support during the loan process in an effort to offer faster and easier approvals and better outcomes for brokers and their customers.

According to Assetline Capital, his aim will be to expand the lender’s presence in Victoria while working with aggregators and brokers within the state’s metro and regional areas and promote its full suite of lending products.

General manager of distributions and partnerships Royden D’Vaz said on the new recruit: “It gives me great pleasure to welcome Arthur to the Assetline Capital team.

“He is an outstanding choice to lead and grow our team in Victoria, his extensive knowledge of the industry will help brokers and their clients get the deals done.”

Speaking on joining the lender, Karvelas said: “I couldn’t be more excited to join the team at Assetline Capital.

“Their innovative approach to lending for mortgage brokers sets them apart in the non-bank space. I’m looking forward to playing a key role in driving growth and delivering exceptional service and value for our partners.”

Meanwhile, Stanley’s promotion to NSW state manager comes after she joined the non-bank lender in 2023 as a BDM and will help service brokers and borrowers throughout the state.

These appointments mark the latest development for the Assetline Capital team, which recently appointed D’Vaz himself and Jason Lucas into newly formed executive roles in recent months.

D’Vaz further said: “With substantial growth in the past financial year, including an exciting new product launch on the horizon, these latest appointments are vital to our growth and commitment to providing exceptional service to our brokers and borrowers.”

D’Vaz’s new role as general manager of distribution and partnerships sees him focusing on developing and nurturing existing and new broker partnerships along with overseeing product distribution, while Lucas’ role as head of sales for commercial lending has him managing commercial loan origination and overseeing the lender’s construction and short-term products.
