The non-bank lender has been named as the NRL club’s major sponsor.

Pepper Money has announced a multimillion-dollar partnership with Wests Tigers, becoming the club’s new major sponsor for both the NRL and NRLW teams.

This significant deal will see Pepper Money’s logo proudly displayed on the front of the team jerseys, while maintaining its strong presence on coaching apparel and the coaches’ box, continuing its support across both leagues.

The announcement was made at an exclusive sponsorship launch at the Zurich Centre in Concord, attended by current and former players, corporate partners, Wests Tigers members, and government representatives.

Wests Tigers CEO Shane Richardson described the deal as the largest sponsorship in the club’s 25-year history.

“We are absolutely thrilled to have Pepper Money as our new major partner, and this is a great day in the history of this club,” Richardson said.

“Not only is this new partnership the biggest deal we have ever done, but it is also a whole-of-club sponsorship incorporating both our NRL and NRLW teams.”

Richardson further said that the non-bank lender is a leader in the industry while “providing opportunity and value to Aussies that require a real-life approach to their lending needs”.

“In many ways, we are well aligned, with a large customer base across Sydney’s Inner West and South-West. Both Pepper Money and the Wests Tigers are committed to promoting and supporting the community and inclusivity,” Richardson said.

Pepper Money CEO Mario Rehayem emphasised the importance of community engagement in the new deal, saying: “We are incredibly proud to partner with Wests Tigers to become the club’s new major partner for the next three seasons.

“Our shared passion for community engagement will be a key focus of our work with Wests Tigers across the next three years. This commitment is further strengthened by our partnership with the club’s community arm, Wests Tigers Empower.

“We see a bright future ahead for the Wests Tigers, just as we do for our customers. Pepper Money is in the business of helping people to succeed, which is at the core of our mission.

“We’re proud to be a part of both the Tigers’ and our customers’ success stories.”

As part of the sponsorship, Pepper Money will feature prominently across Wests Tigers’ media backdrops, coaches’ boxes, and will also be visible on the apparel worn by head coaches Benji Marshall and Brett Kimmorley.

The partnership will officially begin with the start of the 2025 season and fans can expect a series of exciting events, competitions, and community initiatives throughout the duration of the deal.

The Wests Tigers’ first home game of the 2025 NRL Telstra Premiership will be against the Newcastle Knights on Friday, 7 March at Campbelltown Sports Stadium. The club’s first NRL Telstra Women’s Premiership game is set for Saturday, 5 July against the Broncos in Brisbane.

In addition to the sponsorship announcement, Wests Tigers Membership for 2025 has shown impressive growth, with sales up 31 per cent compared to the same time last year.
