A non-major has appointed a new executive in the hopes of pushing forward its business and agribusiness division.

Bendigo and Adelaide Bank has announced the appointment of Travis Dillon as non-executive director. With a background in and around business and agribusiness lending, the bank is looking to drive strong growth in these areas.

“I’m incredibly excited and humbled to be joining Bendigo and Adelaide Bank at such an important time for the organisation,” said Dillon.

“I’m also pleased to be joining an institution with values that are aligned with my own and I look forward to supporting the Bank as it accelerates its transformation for the benefit of all its stakeholders.”

What has been described by the bank as a “transformation of its business and agribusiness divisions”, this latest appointment will hope to propel the lender forward.

Dillon has held positions such as CEO and managing director of Ruralco from May 2015 to September 2019; chair of Cleanseas Sustainable Seafood from October 2020 until November 2024; and currently serves as the chair of Select Harvests Limited, Australian Grain Technologies, and deputy chair of Lifeline Australia.

With “deep ties” to the agriculture sector, Bendigo and Adelaide Bank chair Vicki Carter is excited to promote agribusiness through this appointment.

“Travis will be a valuable addition to the Board and brings with him a strong understanding of rural and regional business as well as contemporary experience as a director of ASX-listed companies. His insight will support the implementation of the new Business and Agribusiness platform and the bank’s growth agenda,” Carter said.

“We admire the way Travis has demonstrated his connection with the community through his association with and commitment to Lifeline Australia. This is very much aligned with the Bank’s longstanding purpose of feeding into the prosperity of its customers and the community.”
