ANZ appoints corporate and commercial director

Mark Hand, who has been with ANZ since 1988, has been appointed in the role.

Mr Hand will be responsible for growing ANZ’s corporate and commercial business in Australia as well as aligning ANZ’s retail and commercial businesses, an ANZ statement said.

ANZ chief executive Australia Mark Whelan said: “I’ve worked closely with Mark for many years and I’m confident he is the right person to help us continue our journey in building the leading corporate and commercial bank in Australia.”

“It’s pleasing to appoint somebody with Mark’s extensive retail and commercial banking experience to help our customers grow their businesses either here in Australia or by expanding into other markets across the Asia Pacific region.”
