Access to national customer base key to broker success

Promoted by Lendi

Home loan platform Lendi continues to record strong growth as it recruits for 50 new broker roles. Having a national customer base is one factor set to sustain its success.

The benefits of digital home loan processing cannot be underestimated in the current operating environment. As refinance demand soars and property markets and local economies recover at different rates, being able to access home loan customers in different regions is set to be a key driver behind broker success in coming months and years.

According to Sebastian Watkins, Chief Operating Officer at Lendi, being able to service customers around the country will become more important for brokers as we navigate the rest of 2020 and 2021.

“State economies will sustain their recoveries at different rates, so having access to home loan customers in different locations around the country will underpin the resilience and success of many brokers over the short and long term,” he said.

“Traditionally, brokers rely on referrals and their local networks and that can limit their growth potential simply by geography,” said Watkins. “Tapping into a national customer base means our home loan consultants, living anywhere around Australia, can be working with customers in any of the big metro or regional centres.”

“When brokers join our team, we find they maintain their established network but grow their customer base rapidly in other locations and that is a real win for their productivity and earning potential.”

Borrowers across Australia were already embracing online home loan processing before the COVID-19 pandemic took hold but social distancing has accelerated uptake as more lenders modified their policies and customers changed their behaviour.

To keep up with demand, Lendi has opened up an additional 50 new home loan consultant roles for brokers around the country.

Watkins continues, “By doing things digitally, our home loan consultants can transform what was once idle time spent in traffic jams or travelling into productive time working with existing clients or meetings with new customers.”
