The leading mortgage technology businesses have been announced at the Australian Digital Technology Awards.

The inaugural Australian Digital Technology Awards – a targeted submission-based awards program produced by Momentum Media – took place on Tuesday (18 May 2021).

The ranking, underpinned by industry-wide brand performance research, recognises the top 10 digital technology companies that are providing outstanding outcomes for industry professionals across:

  • Accounting (accountants, bookkeepers, CFOs and corporate accountants);
  • Law (lawyers, solicitors, corporate counsels);
  • Mortgages (mortgage and finance brokers);
  • Real estate (real estate agents, property managers and principals); and
  • Wealth and SMSF (financial advisers and planners, SMSF Advisers)

The Australian Digital Technology Awards were judged by a panel of respected industry professionals and business leaders, who considered the results of a brand performance survey (conducted between December 2020 and February 2021 to measure the usage, awareness, consideration, customer impact score and net promoter score for each company) and written submissions, which were then combined to provide a “performance score”.

The performance score weighted the results of the brand performance survey at 20 per cent, with written submissions at 80 per cent.

In the mortgage industry, the ranking was dominated by companies offering client relationship manager (CRM) programs.

The mortgages ranking is as follows:

MORTGAGES

1 Loan Market Group

2 BrokerEngine

3 Salestrekker

4 Mortgage Choice

5 FileInvite

6 Social Broker

7 ActivePipe

8 MSA National

9 Brokerpad

10 HashChing

When broken down into age of company, the winners of the Established, Mid-Range and Start-Up categories were as follows:

  • Established: Loan Market Group (weighted score of 75.71 per cent)
  • Mid-Range: BrokerEngine (73.66 per cent)
  • Start-Up: Social Broker (66.90 per cent)

Reflecting on the results, Momentum Media’s mortgages editor, Annie Kane, said it was fantastic to see such strong interest from Australia’s mortgage broking community in these inaugural awards, particularly given the increasing demand for tools that help improve efficiencies and free up a broker’s time.

“Brokers are busier than ever at the moment, and it is fantastic to see a range of providers developing proprietary software that can help reduce the administrative burden for brokers, streamline the customer relationship management process, and harness their online presence.

“The ranking demonstrates the wide range of companies working to digitise the mortgage broking process and help the industry gain greater efficiencies and market share.”

Ms Kane added: “Congratulations to all of the winners and finalists.”
