The chief information officer for retail and commercial at ANZ will leave the bank, for an executive role at Link Group.

Nicole Pelchen will become chief technology officer at data administrator Link Group, which is also the parent company of property settlements platform PEXA.

Ms Pelchen has been with ANZ for seven years, holding the CIO role for three and a half years – where she was responsible for the business’s digital, data and automation programs across aspects such as retail and commercial distribution networks and the origination and servicing program.

Previously, she was head of service management.

She has also held senior posts with IBM, where she worked across Australia and Europe.

In the new job with Link, Ms Pelchen will oversee the teams that support, maintain and deliver the group’s systems and platforms.

She said she looked forward to getting started in a year when people are increasingly interested in the safety and security of their financial assets.

“I am very excited to be joining an organisation that is an important part of the global financial services ecosystem and has a track record of using technology to best support their clients and enhance the end-user experience,” Ms Pelchen said.

Vivek Bhatia, chief executive and managing director of Link, commented that Ms Pelchen will be a “strong addition” to the executive team and she will lead more than 1,000 staff.

Ms Pelchen will commence with Link from 4 October.
