E-conveyancer rolls out automated messaging for brokers

Settle Easy has updated its online platform to provide automatic updates to mortgage brokers and real estate agents during the conveyancing process.

The latest release of the online conveyancing company’s platform uses real-time automated notifications that update brokers and agents during different stages of the property transaction.

The real-time updates include notifications when a conveyancer has been assigned to look after the client, when a contract becomes unconditional, and when a settlement has been scheduled and completed.

The automated messages – which include the property addresses – will be sent out via SMS and email to help give brokers and agents a searchable reference point in case information needs to be reviewed.

Speaking of the update, Settle Easy chief executive and co-founder Sam Almaliki said “the best property technology adapts to the needs of those who use it”.

“We’re excited about the latest release of our online conveyancing platform which includes several new features including real time notifications for agents and brokers at significant milestones in their client’s property transactions,” Mr Almaliki stated.

Settle Easy recruits three new board members

The e-conveyancing platform also recently announced three appointments to its board, as it plans for growth.

Sadhana Smiles, David Choi (both directors of the board) and Sasha Edwards-Taylor (company secretary) have all joined the company’s board.

Ms Smiles is the current CEO at Real Estate Industry Partners (REIP) and director at Harcourts Move. She was previously the CEO of Harcourts Victoria.

Settle Easy’s service offering is second to none when it comes to fast, efficient, end-to-end conveyancing,” Ms Smiles said.

“I look forward to working with Settle Easy and the board.”

Joining her as director is Mr Choi, the current COO and strategist of property intelligence start-up Propic. The property company is focused on implementing AI technology for agency owners and proptech businesses.

Mr Choi has over 15 years of experience in corporate and business development, marketing, strategy and sales management.

Meanwhile, Ms Edwards-Taylor has joined the board as company secretary.

The lawyer, who has previously worked for the Australian Securities & Investments Commission (ASIC) also runs her own pet treat start-up business.

Noting the new additions to the board, Mr Almaliki said: We are excited to welcome such outstanding individuals onto our board as we expand and grow.

The trio commenced with their new roles in August 2022.
